Title: Sr Manager Application Quality Operations Systems

Reports To : Quality Operations Systems IT Director

Job Summary : Application Manager will be responsible for overseeing the LabVantage and Empower tech-stack, ensuring seamless operation, compliance, and optimization of the laboratory data management systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of data, enhancing efficiency, and facilitating regulatory compliance in a regulated laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. LabVantage and Empower Techstack Management:

  2. Oversee and maintain the LabVantage and Empower systems, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  3. Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to LabVantage and Empower.

  4. Coordinate and implement system updates, patches, and upgrades while minimizing operational disruptions.

  5. Regression Testing Management:

  6. Develop and execute comprehensive regression testing plans for LabVantage and Empower updates to ensure the stability of the systems.

  7. Identify and document test cases, execute tests, and manage test data to validate system changes.

  8. Investigate and report any issues or defects to the development teams.

  9. Release Management:

  10. Lead the release management process for LabVantage and Empower in an integrated environment.

  11. Coordinate with stakeholders to plan and schedule system releases.

  12. Ensure all changes are documented, validated, and comply with regulatory requirements.

  13. Monitor and support the deployment of releases while minimizing operational disruptions.

  14. System Analysis and Business Process Mapping:

  15. Analyze business processes and workflows to understand their alignment with the supported functionality of LabVantage and Empower.

  16. Map supported business processes within the systems and identify areas for improvement or optimization.

  17. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and customize system configurations to better support business needs.

  18. Document system configurations, customizations, and business process mappings for reference and training purposes.

  19. Regulated Environment Compliance:

  20. Ensure that LabVantage and Empower systems adhere to regulatory requirements, such as FDA, GxP, and other relevant standards.

  21. Implement and maintain procedures to ensure data integrity and audit trail functionality.

  22. Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory inspections and audits.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with LabVantage and/or Empower is highly preferred.

  • Experience in acting in a multivendor environment.

  • Knowledge of laboratory operations, quality control, and regulatory compliance within a regulated environment.

  • Familiarity with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and other industry-specific standards and regulations.

  • Strong project management, leadership, and system analysis skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Life Sciences, Engineering).

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and release management.

  • Experience in regulatory compliance and quality management systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven experience in managing LIMS systems, particularly LabVantage and Empower, in a regulated laboratory environment.

  • Good knowledge of French and English, both written and spoken.
